This song needs this bass line to make it pop. You ever hear a bar band play this song and they just play root notes? It just sounds like crap and doesn’t hit. I got into an argument once with a guy about how Leon was play those big chords on the chorus.

Am I tripping or was it Ed King on the debut? Edit: I’m guessing it was a Leon part played by Ed King, he does a good job of playing very similarly.
